I've often spoken about my love for all things BareMinerals on the blog lately as it's gone from a brand that I didn't really hear or speak much about, to my skincare and makeup routines consisting lots of it. Namely, their Oil Obsessed cleanser and Complexion Rescue being two loved, every day staples.
So naturally, when I was alerted that a package had arrived from BareMinerals I wanted to share it with you guys before it is released on the first of September.
The PR behind BareMinerals is probably my favourite. As a PR student myself their releases always get me so excited and inspired and are always so innovative. Check out the GIF I made of the digital press release booklet, I thought it was such a clever combination of technology and print.
So behind all the press, what is new from BareMinerals? Well, it's a product I've been wearing every day now to really get a feel of what it's like, and I think I a lot of you will like it as well. It's their BarePro Performance Wear Powder Foundation £27. As an avid liquid foundation lover I was definitely intrigued to see what their powdered foundation would be like.
My First impression of the foundation from first swatch was that they are both very finely milled, not very thick which gave me the impression that they wouldn't be very heavy on the skin. Luckily it came prepared with the Core Coverage Brush £24 which is absolutely perfect at creating a seamless application for this product, and really is molded to apply to the face. I think the brush itself would work great with any sort of powdered foundation, but is made with the Performance Wear Powder in mind.
The two shades that they included are Light Natural which is far too light for me at the moment but works nice to highlight the under eye area, and Warn Natural which is quite similar to my natural skin tone. The foundation promises twelve hour long full coverage that is breathable. I would definitely say that it really doesn't feel like your wearing full coverage foundation at all, best of all, it lasts most of the day.
The aim of the foundation was for a photo-ready, natural matte finish without that caked on feel which I think it does exactly. It really does glide on effortlessly, and the coverage is customisable If your an avid matte lover then you'll really enjoy this one.
What is your favourite full-coverage foundation?
