BareMinerals Skincare

A few weeks ago I managed to leave work early and head to London for the Bare Minerals event hosted to showcase their new skincare collection, with importance on their new Skinlongevity serum which definitely got me all sorts of excited as they really did explain the ingenuity of the product and made me want to try it then and there.

The range itself, I've been trialing over the past few weeks to really get a solid grip on how it works with my skin. I know I rave about skincare all the time, but this range in particular has really improved my skin and the whole process of using these products in conjunction with each other has warranted a mini pamper session each night. If you've been an avid Complexion Rescue lover then this skincare range will be right up there with that.
Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion £45
The whole purpose of the event was to showcase their new serum which, as I'm about to explain really does seem like something entirely new to the scene. Bare Minerals are the first to use the herb from the Japanese island of Okiwana called Long Life Herb which has been used by the island for centuries. It is known to be a place where the woman thrive and live longer than any other place in the world, and the long life herb is of vital importance to their every day health.

It's used for longevity inspiring benefits that helps to bring health and life back to the skin, a means of keeping it healthy and feeding it the nutrients it needs. It is shown to have an even higher mineral and vitamin content than the super foods spinach and kale(we even got to have a shot of it in tea for and tasted quite nice, as well as being really good for you).

The purpose of the serum is to help protect your skin from signs against aging and damage. Obviously this isn't something you'd be able to notice right away, it'd be more progressive. However, what I have noticed is that my skin is indeed looking more healthier.

I'm feeling increasingly more confident to go without foundation, even if I'm blemish prone because it improves the condition of the skin and really just does make it look that much more healthy and glowing.

Upon revealing the skin Skinlongevity, they also allowed us to stop by each product station and pick out a product that suited to our skin needs. They have products for all steps of your skincare regime, so this was most exciting. It was tailoring your skincare routine to exactly what your skin needs.

Cleansers

BareMinerals Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil £22

The cleansing station was probably my favourite out of all of them. They have an array of cleansing products tailored for your needs skincare needs. The one that I chose was the Oil Obsessed Cleansing Oil mainly because I love anything oil based, and I find it the most easiest at removing my makeup, whilst also retaining the moisture in my skin.

It is very nourishing and makes your skin feel cleansed without leaving an oily residue. It is made with Bilberry oil, Borage oil, Cucumber oil and Sunflower oil and the combination is all sorts of lovely!

BareMinerals Clay Chameleon Purifying Cleanser £18

Made for all skin types, this textually transformative cleanser morphs from a red coloured clay to a white cream consistency to gently draw out impurities. It is enriched with Bergamot and Madarin to help energize the skin as well. This cleanser can also be left on for ten minutes as a mask.

BareMinerals Pure Plush Gentle Deep Cleansing Foam £18

Made for all skin types, this rich creamy formula refreshes while lifting away makeup and impurities without stripping the skin. This one definitely caught my eye as well and have been using along side the Oil Obsessed cleanser after I've taken off my makeup. It creates a lovely base for your moisturizer.

BareMinerals Blemish Remedy £17

This cleanser is formulated for problematic skin types and those that want to target acne breakouts. It is an oil-free, gel-like cleanser that really works with the skin to pull out impurities at the source. This one I only was able to try on the day, the consistency is lovely, and isn't too drying despite it's oil-free nature.

After picking out cleansers, we were able to take a way a new bottle of Complexion Rescue ( I've found my perfect summer shade in Dune 7.5) and then moved along to the Moisturizer station. They have four different kinds that cater to your skin needs. There is an oil-free moisturizer called True Oasis £29 that is suited for combination skin-types which uses Algae Extract to lock in moisture and the Smart Combination £30 which is aimed at normal to combination skin types and is light weight in consistency. The two that caught my eye, and made it into my bag were the two moisturizers that are loaded with moisture.

BareMinerals Bare Haven £30

For my morning routine I opted for their essential moisturizing soft cream which is aimed at normal to dry skin types. It is very hydrating without sliding your makeup all over the place and is perfect for morning application without skipping out on the moisture.

BareMinerals Butter Drench £32

This one might not be for everyone, but if you like loading your face with moisture and hydrating in your nightly routine, this one might be for you. It is aimed for dry to very dry skin types with the use of Shea butter as its main ingredient which really does work to hydrate the skin. I especially love it because I always wake up with plump and nourished skin in the morning because of it.

The idea behind their skincare is to really be able to bring the basics back to our skin and make us feel naturally beautiful and happy with our skin. I love the simplicity behind it all, and I'm definitely impressed with their new range. If your looking to try something new, definitely give this range a go.
