In a two part series here on the blog I wanted to talk about both my morning and night time skin care regimes. Both are quite similar but differ slightly with a few products. My skin is something I've taken some time to get to grips with because it can be very temperamental. This routine has however helped me with preparing my face in the morning before I apply my makeup. For this reason it hasn't changed for quite some time now. Plus, my hard-to-get-rid-of spots have been on vacation, and seem to have stayed there thanks to this routine(skincare gods rejoice).
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel £28In the mornings I like opting for something not so stringent on the skin. I first wash my face with Oskias cleansing gel which works to cleanse the skin and make sure its prepared for the day. It is also extremely hydrating and works to soothe the skin, which is exactly what you need in the morning. Nothing to harsh that will irritate it before you apply your makeup. It's quite expensive so I'm not sure if I'd repurchase it again but it has worked so well with making my skin look and feel nourished and cleansed at the same time.
Pixi Glow Tonic £18
After I've thoroughly cleansed my face I like to go in with the Pixi Glow Tonic on a cotton pad and apply this all over my face. Focusing on the main areas that are prone to break outs. It also helps to tone and firm the skin, making your face appear brighter, creating the perfect base for makeup as it removes dead skin.
*Indeed Labs Hydraluron £16 + Pepta-bright £29
Before my moisturiser I like using Hydraluron which helps with securing moisture in your skin and keeping it hydrated whilst Pepta-bright aids in evening out your skin-tone. The combination of the two creates the perfect base for your moisturiser and really works to make my skin look and feel flawless.
Pai Enchium & Macadamia Replenishing Day Cream £40
I always tend to choose Moisturiser's that are very hydrating and formulated for dry skin. Even though I don't actually have dry skin myself. I just find that it really aids with helping my skin look and feel it's best. It soothes any breakouts that I have and makes my skin look plump in the mornings. This one from Pai does exactly that and is heavenly. It's anti-inflammatory properties are the key to Pai skincare and you'll find that with most of their range.
