My Favourite Drugstore Blushes: Max Factor

When I first started getting into makeup at sixteen, drugstore brands didn't quite have it right at the time. I always felt like there was something missing and I couldn't quite find the right shades and products for what I wanted to achieve(cue my expensive taste in makeup from a young age). I feel that finally drugstore brands have bridged a gap between what higher end brands offer and for half the price. I've been so impressed with some the products lately, especially the Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes. They are right up there with some of my higher end blushes that I own without skimping on the quality.

The two shades that I own are Seductive Pink which I'm wearing in the photo and Lavish Mauve which is slightly darker. They are comparable to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes which I've been eyeing out for some time but decided to opt for these instead. I've swatched them in store and would say they are quite comparable and similarly pigmented. If you are after an inexpensive blush that has an array of natural flushed colours then definitely check out the range from Max Factor. Massive love for these blushes!

Oh and it applies like a dream with my Nars Yachiyo brush! One of my favourite all rounder brushes that can be used in so many ways. If your lazy like me and like to double dip your brushes in multiple products this one is great for that because it doesn't pick up to much product.

  15. I am all about Clinque Cheek Pops, which are only a little more expensive than most chemist blushers! I love how these Max Factor ones look, but I'm never wild about them in person - there are never enough testers!

  18. I own Lavish Mauve and it's lovely! You're right though, the 'drugstore' at least in Australia isn't known for blushes! I do like Essence but they can be a bit hit and miss! xx

  25. I haven't tried these blushes but I have heard they are the drugstore equivalent of the Hourglass blushes (which I do have). I will definitely consider getting these instead when I hit pan on the Hourglass ones (much more affordable!) :) x

  26. I was thinking about getting that brush. Super pricey and wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I'm sure a blush girl! I have some super cheap ones I got online from makeupmania - La Femme blushes. So cheap but the pigmentation is everything!!

  27. Omg, I have the same Maxfactor blushes as you! Although, the mauve shade doesn't really show on my skin? I know I'm a lot tanner than you but I gave it to my friend siniliar to your skin tone and it didn't apply well either. The seductive pink shade however we both love! Anyway great review xx
