Six Makeup Geek Eye Shadows Every Girl Needs

I've always been a massive eye shadow palette girl. Ever since the Urban Decay Naked palette first came out all those years ago. It introduced to many of us, the fun of makeup and experimenting with eye shadows, something that prior to YouTube seemed so foreign and scary. The thought of buying individual Mac shadows scared my bank account into overdraft and at the time there wasn't any cheaper alternative. That was until of course, Makeup Geek eye shadows jumped on the bandwagon, for more then half the price, and comparatively the same quality.

For some time now I've been eyeing out exactly which shadows to add to my collection. Most of the eye shadow palettes that I've lusted over in the past have always included more shimmery shadows rather then matte. Maybe it's the matte craze that is all the rage at the moment, but these days I can't do my makeup without including a variety of matte eye shadows. After looking into which ones to get I decided to make a order, and for the past couple of months now have been using these shadows to death. If your new to makeup geek shadows and wondering which ones to get then definitely check these ones out- I promise you wont be disappointed! All of these colours are great for creating an every day makeup look, and are perfect as transition colours, or in the crease. These have definitely been the missing element to my eye shadow looks all these years!

Frappe | Medium Maple Brown Matte
Cocoa Bear | Matte Reddish Brown
Peach Smoothie | A light peach beige Matte
Latte | Matte Medium Brown
Beaches and Cream | Creamy Matte Neural Beige
Creme Brule | A Medium Sand Colour Matte

The eye shadows come in their singular tins, without a case, so unless you want them freeboobin' in  your makeup bag then I suggest you buy a eye shadow case for them. The makeup geek website sells them but I found a cheaper alternative here on Ebay, as pictured below which is only a few dollars and fits all the shadows perfectly.

Which Makeup Geek eye shadows do you love?

  7. I have been lusting after makeup geek for so long that my list is pretty big at this point, I just want them all and I would also have most of the shades here (they are perfect for blending in the crease). Might treat myself to an order for my birthday but just worried about the custom charges x

  24. I love all of those shades! The MAC shadows are so expensive and I feel so much pressure on choosing shades I just can't do it. At the MakeupGeek prices I may give it a go!

  29. I'm such a huge eyeshadow fanatic myself, I'd buy every single one of Mac's little potted eyeshadows if I could, but you're right about them being on the pricey side! I've had an obsession with eyeshadow palette's ever since I got the Stila In The Light palette one Christmas.. These eyeshadows that you've talked about look and sound amazing, a perfect dupe for Mac & in such pretty, natural shades too! I'll definitely be checking out these eyeshadows & the brand from now on! These pictures are also beautifully taken.. You have a really lovely blog! Such a great read :-)

  30. I must be the only person on planet Earth that hasn't tried MUG shadows, but the 6 you recommended are definitely on my list - been eying them off for so long! I hear they're coming out with more matte shadows in August, so I may hold off until then to place an order, but I cannot wait! xx
