The Ever Elusive January Favourites

I call this the ever elusive January Favourites for one sole reason which is that I surprisingly haven't actually done an array of favourites yet on my blog in the five months that I've had it. In the theme of new year I was hoping on incorporating a favourites one way or another, so if you want to see what I loved and cherished in the new year keep on reading!

As I've mentioned here on my blog I'm currently succumbing to the cold that is English weather and am residing for the next month in Brighton,UK. That means I've only brought with me a selected few products that have made it into my suitcase and wedged in a small drawer in my boyfriends flat(much to his dismay). So what made the cut this month? Pretty much what I'd like to call my 'theweathersshitbutatleastIhavegoodmakeup' stash.

Guerlian Liquid Eyeliner
I'm not one to usually fork out an insane amount on makeup basics but when I came across this beauty of a bottle at the Guerlain counter I couldn't help but open it, test it and inevitably add it to my ever growing collection. I wouldn't usually recommend a high end liquid liner to you guys as adamantly that I am now but it's just that good. The applicator serves as one of the easiest I've ever used with great precision which makes the struggle that comes with winging out your liner that much easier. It is also very long lasting, and incredibly pigmented, definitely one of my new favourite liners ever.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet
I wont go to much into this one because I've done a review on this foundation already which you can find here. It is honestly one of my go to foundations when I'm wanting good skin and has yet to fail me. It offers a velvet/matte finish to the skin but if you use a good luminous primer underneath it still allows for a nice glow to shine through! Love!
Tarte Eyelash Curler
In Australia we recently had Sephora open its doors and allow us in to all the american brands that we had been waiting so patiently for, and one of those is Tarte. I cannot tell you how long I've wanted to try out the brand as a whole, and after my trip to Sephora I came back with only an eyelash curler...It sounds like such a disappointing purchase I know, but I've never actually used an eyelash curler before and I have to say, I have definitely been converted! This one in particular just works so well with my lashes and I honestly feel like something is missing when I apply mascara without it. I can now definitely see all the fuss!
Guerlain's Petrouchka Palette for Eyes & Cheek
I've already reviewed this one here on the blog and posted a video using it on my Youtube channel before but Its just so lovely and compact which makes it the only palette that I've taken with me. Additionally it comes with a few cheek colours compacted tightly under the eye-shadow which has made it perfect for Travel. Unfortunately this one was limited edition so I'm going to treasure it!
Bobbi Brown Lipstick In Ruby Shimmer
This lipstick I purchased from Bobbi Browns Holliday collection that comes with their Holiday Lip Trio and have been using it most of the time that I've been here in England. It adds the perfect amount of colour to the lips for daily wear without being too overpowering- absolutely love it!

Favourite Blogs
I am often inspired by other peoples blogs and thought I'd also incorporate some of my favourite bloggers/youtubers for each month!
The Sunday Chapter: Angela from the Sunday Chapter is the most sweetest girl I've met on the blogging sphere thus far, and one of the first blogs that truly inspired me to get writing. If you like minimalist, clean fresh photography and well thought out content then you definitely need to check out her blog here (most of you probably already have!)
LifeBling: This one might be partly biased but my girl Jazzy has such a well thought out blog and I always enjoy her content. She really dives deep into the product she uses  and if you are into obscure products that are generally for the more ethically inclined beauty lover then definitely check out her blog here

Who are your favourite bloggers right now and what products have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments!

  1. These are some heavy players that you've listed as your favourites. LOL! I've always been a drugstore makeup girl but I go high end in skincare products. I do suggest for you to try Shu Uemura eyelash curler, yes, it is everything that everyone rave about.
